Imagination in Action

In June of 2007 Big Brum Theatre in Education Company celebrated it’s 25th Birthday with a weekend of theatre, exhibitions, demonstrations and discussion. Thanks to Arts Council support, a professional film-maker was on hand to record the weekend, and the footage has now been produced into a short film; “Imagination in Action”.

More than just a record of an event, the film is a statement of Big Brum’s artistic intent, philosophy and beliefs. The film features footage from Big Brum’s performances, as well as talks including the keynote speech given by leading British playwright Edward Bond.

Big Brum's premiere showing of the film took place on Wednesday 13th February, at the offices of the Arts Council, West Midlands, with talks by Chris Copper of Big Brum and Sally Luton of the Arts Council.
