FRIENDS of BIG BRUM

Big Brum Theatre in Education Company has worked with tens of thousands of children and young people, of all ages and abilities, classes and ethnic backgrounds, locally, nationally and internationally, for over 25 years. Many of the children and young people with whom we work would otherwise have little or no opportunity to experience theatre performances, or to participate in theatre-based activities. Through their involvement with Big Brum they are able to explore complex ideas and sensitive subjects, working and learning together; to develop empathy for the experience of others; to listen to other people’s views and to work co-operatively with them; to make decisions and take responsibility. Both their social engagement and their learning benefi t from these activities, enabling them to grow.

Big Brum is widely regarded as the leading company in the fi eld of theatre in education, and wishes to continue to deliver the exceptional quality of work associated with the company, and which young people deserve. However, the maintenance and development of quality services always require considerable and consistent support. This is why we are inviting you to become a Friend of Big Brum.
