Fixed term contract, 18 weeks, 13th August 2018 to 14th December 2018

£23,920 pro rata (£8280 for this 18 week contract)

Big Brum is seeking to appoint two male Actors. One with African-Caribbean heritage and one with a playing age of under 18, to take part in our upcoming theatre in education tour of Worlds Apart Together, a new play written by Chris Cooper;

Worlds Apart Together tells the story of a displaced Caribbean soldier lodging with an English family as the war ends in 1918.  The play and Theatre in Education programme will explore identity and equality through the experience of ordinary men and women forever changed by the First World War.

As an Actor in this production, you will have a key role performing in a play and delivering accompanying workshops for children and young people aged 9-18.

Professional experience of acting, touring and working with young people is desirable but not essential.
